must have been stuck…?

i was leaning in the doorway of the fire exit of STA Travel on Adelaide street.. i was so tired.. after meeting Aaron (the latest database programmer) and taking him through the structure of the main profiles database, my brain had stopped working. it had taken Lou and i about 3 hours that morning to flesh it out to that point.. so i was leaning… soaking wet.. i’d just gotten caught in the storm, as i left Aromas, at the back of the Wintergarden, to go to the General Pants store in the Queen Adelaide Building.. so i was leaning… watching the rain drops hit the road.. watching the lightning reflect and shimmer in the water all over the street and the sidewalk.. so i was leaning… and i was thinking.. i was thinking over the dream that i had about him this morning.. an odd dream.. possibly prophetic, i’m not sure.. i’m not quite sure if i want it to be.. i almost told him about the dream today.. but as i started typing it.. i stopped. i couldn’t get the words out. i couldn’t bring myself to tell him. so i was leaning…. and my cell phone rang.. “where are you?” “ahh.. in the city.. adelaide st. why, where are you?” “your aunt’s place.. are you coming out here for dinner?” “ahh.. i guess so.. yea..” “ok.. that’d be good” “yea.. i was just waiting for this storm to ease off a bit, before i left here though..” my first thought was ‘why..am i leaning here..?’.. then i remembered the dream…. and i got lost in it again… so i was leaning…. and i was late for dinner…..
