finally…. i managed to find a copy of icq, hidden away somewhere on the G3, which works with one of the icq accounts i had stacked up on the side..
re-name, add everyone (again) and there we go. up and running..
the main reason i had for starting to fiddle with the damn thing in the first place, was that i was getting tons upon tons of spam via the fabulous emazing.com (bastards) who had a habit of flooding my account with about 15-20 spam messages everyday, which come in though the system messages, not from an account that i could block..
that, and a few people which i have no interest in talking to anymore.. i’m sick of having 5143657425 people on the invis/ignore lists..
i don’t feel like hiding anymore..
also had a thought that i should do another SE sometime soon.. or kill them off altogether.. i dunno..
